Swedish guns

20 mm lvakan m/39

In the late 1930's Sweden bought some material from Germany. Among them were the 20 mm anti aircraft gun Flak 30. In Sweden it was called 20 mm lvakan m/39.
(Model finished 2022)

First to Fight made this in 1/72 scale so I had to build it. The box contained two guns that was built out of the box.

As there were two I decided to leave one on the carriage.

I'm not sure if they were painted in camouflage colours or if they were left in the German dark grey. The only pics that I've seen of the Swedish Flak30 are museum pieces that are green.

37 mm pvkan m/39-43 and m/40-43

Some 37 mm anti tank guns, the Pak35/36 was also bought. It came in two batches. To build these I used two kits from UMMT.
(Model finished 2022)

The first batch was the standard gun with rubber wheels. It became the 37 mm pvkan m/39-43 in Sweden.

I built the Pak35/36 kit straight out of the box.

The second batch had wooden wheels and was apparently intended for Turkey but ended up as a 37 mm pvkan m/40-43 instead.
For this build I used a gun carriage from the Soviet 45 mm anti-tank gun as it was a development of the Pak 35/36. On this I added a shortened gun barrel from the Pak41 kit.
I've read that the AT-guns were delivered in grey on which the camo colours were added.

37 mm pvkan m/38

I bought the Bofors 37 mm anti tank guns from First to Fight.
(Model finished 2023)

But I got in to trouble directly opening the box. The wheels are 1,5 mm smaller than the ACE kit.
I did a search in my boxes for wheels in the right size but the only ones I found was the wheels of the Fujimi Pz38 and they didn't look right.

Searching for wheels of the right size gave me a "tunnel vision", just focusing on the size. but after a while I noticed that the rims of the FtF wheels were correct so I got an idea.
I sanded off the tires from the gun wheels and then drilled out the Fujimi wheels so that they could mate with the FtF rims. I need to add some filler to the "tires" but I think it will work.
I have now realized that I became to obsessed with the correct size of the wheels that I didn't consider a probably easier way. I should have added three strips of 0,25 mm plastic strips to the FtF tires to get the right dimension.

There are two guns in the box depicted deployed but I decided to do one in transport mode.

For this I had to rise the gun shield.

Here it is behind a Scania but I am working on a different vehicle for it.
